Hip Details & Funky Midnight Rambler Colors.

From day to night, this one's hot. Especially if you love deep foresty colors. This one has deep dark green, a pinch of blue, and even some deep dusky red.

These skirts are great because they can be worn high or low! You decide! The first 9 inches is heavy cotton knit (like tee shirt but way heavier). This 9 inches is done in two pieces. That way, you can fold it over as you wish. You can also wear these low or high. We wanted little shorty gals and tall gals both to be able to be comfortable in this one.
Where the knit part stops, the skirt begins and this is a simple 100% cotton. It's lined only part way. Why? Because the skirt part of the dress is pieced.... with huge gore triangle pieces so we wanted the lower half to "float and spin"... and they'll do that! But we wanted to also be sure they weren't "see thru" and they're not.

Normally you could throw a cotton skirt in the washer, but because they are tie dye, they should be hand washed in your coldest possible water! You can twist the cotton skirt part and dry if you like. Our idea for wear is to rumple the skirt part somewhat and that way you don't have to press...PLUS they are then a good traveler too! For the photo we've lightly steamed to simply get out the shipping "folds".

MEASUREMENTS:

PLEASE NOTE:
Measurements taken with the garment flat and measured across the front only. We usually tell you to allow some "wiggle room" but with this knit at the top, it should fit "snug". In our measurements, we did a relaxed and stretched measurement and we didn't stretch to the "limit" but rather, we're giving you a "safe" measurement!
SMALL
Waist The top of the knit band and the first fold over piece measures 13" and stretches to 15"
Hips: This measurement is actually about an inch or two "high" since we took it at the bottom of the knit piece. It measures 18" and stretches to 20". The "normal" hip measurement (if you wear this with the first knit piece flipped over at the waist measures 22". There is no stretch here at this 22" mark, it's into the actual cotton skirt.
Length: Goes from about 36"-41" The length is not constant because of all the fabric. And really, depending on where you wear it :) will determine the actual length.

MEDIUM
Waist The top of the knit band and the first fold over piece measures 15" and stretches to 17"
Hips: This measurement is actually about an inch or two "high" since we took it at the bottom of the knit piece. It measures 19" and stretches to 21". The "normal" hip measurement (if you wear this with the first knit piece flipped over at the waist measures 23". There is no stretch here at this 23" mark, it's into the actual cotton skirt.
Length: Goes from about 36"-41" The length is not constant because of all the fabric. And really, depending on where you wear it :) will determine the actual length.

LARGE
